Introduction

Vote4It ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application available on the Google Play Store (the "App").

Information We Collect

1. Information you provide directly

E-Mail address.

2. Information collected automatically

We may collect certain information automatically when you access or use the App, including device information (model, OS version), and IP addresses.

3. Voting decisions

We do not safe at all which user voted for which answer. For each answer, we only store anonymous tags (birth year, gender, country, ...) and not your ID. Even with full access to the underlying database it is theoretically impossible to find which answers are given by a specific user. The only thing we save is that you voted for a given question. We do this securely by storing a hash value of user ids together with questions a user voted.

3. Submitted questions

If you submit new questions for voting, we store that you submitted the question.

How We Use Your Information

• Your e-mail address is only used when you reset your password to send a link for setting a new password.;
• Device information (model, OS version, IP address) are stored in access logs for 30 days to ensure no misuse (apply rate-limits, diagnose misuse);
• We store the information of which questions are voted by a user to ensure that users can only vote once per question;
• We store which questions are submitted by your user account to be able to show the submission status of the question only to you and to prevent misuse.

How Can You Delete Your Data

You can delete your account by clicking Delete Account in the user model. In this case, we will delete your e-mail address immediately with no way to recover the data. It will also delete the information of which questions where answered by your account and which questions are submitted with your account.

Legal Basis for Processing (if applicable)

Where required (for EU users), we will only process personal data where we have a lawful basis, such as your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests.

We will not share your information with anyone else.
